WRITING ON WATER

He was fond of small isles
She loved the open sea.

On this little island
under the blue sky
on the silver sand
they wrote
each other's name
with there hand
and with their bodies.

The sea was jubilant
accepted the message for safe keeping;
so that one day
when they return
can read their names on water.
