Panjabi land has alwasy produced some wonderful
poets. I have been facinated by poetry since my childhood, when
our local village poet Bhanna wrote few poems relating certain incidents
in the village and he sang them on festivals.
As a Panjabi every one has hear epic poem of Heer
of Varis Shah and so on. I also admire several contemporary Panjabi
poets, such as Surjit Paatar, Manjit Tiwana, Mohanjit, Jagtaar,
Baldev Bawa and many more. I bow my head to these poets, those keeping
the creativity of the soil alive.
I am a sculptor not a poet, but this my way saying
something with few words. They aere immediate and express certain,
feeling, ideas and concerns with economy of words.
